Fourth of July weekend we went to the lake cabin north of here on south twin near Naytahwaush.

Jake rode over from here to there. Riding pretty much all gravel and forest roads and some atv trail. The ride over is awesome. First time since meeting Jonell 19 years ago I haven't ridden there. Bummer. First time I rode there Jonell's dad said I didn't know what the hell I was talking about when I tried to explain where I rode. Most likely but it was some of the best in the state. Paul Bunyan has the singletrack and WESF has the big ring mashing. I drove over Saturday and since it was around 90 and humid, I had a extra bottle to meet Jake half way at 113, just south of Itasca at the start of Sawmill lake rd. I ended up taking Sawmill lake to Strawberry Mnt rd to Norris road and trail. Roads and trails have really changed over the years with big time atv traffic but never a bad day on the bike riding there. Had the bike along but 3.25" of rain the night before, we opted out riding on the 4th.

Great rolling terrain, perfect Chequemegon training.

This sign probably scares a lot of people away. But generally its all good.
