Water pressure wasn't up to par last week so we had Elsner from Park Rapids area come out to do some controls/switches upgrades, flushing etc. Top notch service. Highly recommend them if you are looking to dig a well and live 100 mile radius from PR. Learned some good stuff. I was expecting them to bolt after 30 minutes since they didn't get here until late after being at a drill site all day but they came at 7:30 and didn't leave until 10 doing a thorough run through.
Jon played in tourney last weekend in Breezy Point, winning all five games. Was a weak tourney for the team as they outscored their opponents 52-9 in five games. They played a girls team for the final. Probably one of the top 97 in the state. It was interesting with checking being involved etc. Personally I don't think it was right but the girls and parents thought otherwise. Whatever. No one was hurt and kids had a good time so all good. The girls were cracking me up after the game, acting like girls and the boys were digging it, if you know what I mean. I have never watched an entire girls game, including Olympics, and this team was fun to watch for sure.
Like the drive over there as all back roads and no towns to go through. Heading back towards the Smokey Hills near Osage.
Jake and I have been motorpacing a few times, as he gears up for Natz this weekend.
During the week last, there was no traffic on the road we use. Head past Strawberry lake than west to White Earth but Sunday afternoon was a different story. The people were very courteous though and no one was freaking out about having to wait and would wave back when I waved thanks. South of DL in lake country is different story. People aren't as patient.
Great rollers and nice country. Little bit of unrest on the rez right now with some protesting going on over the tribal government. I am sure things will settle down eventually. Can't really get a read what is going on exactly. Almost tempted to drive up there and talk to some of them since the
papers aren't reporting much
