Everything is shaping up nicely for this weekends mountain bike stage race. Rain looks to be done and should make the course better more than anything. Cooler temps to move through which will be a welcomed change. Looking forward to another great weekend seeing all the familiar faces and new ones.
Rode a lap this afternoon in between showers and the sections Jake blew out were perfect. Super riding. The berms were a little greasy but should dry out by Friday afternoon.
Roots a little slick but should be fine by Friday.
We didn't go too crazy clearing the sides to keep the deep woods feel going.
If you are wondering if the electric fence at the Loon Dance ranch pasture near Bear Pass singletrack is live, it is. Poor frog. First gets stuck in a spider web than got zapped. I heard this snapping sound when we went by and every 30 seconds a bolt of juice was going through this guys body. Did I get zinged as well trying to take a picture? Yes.
