I figured we might see a little snow before months end but didn't expect as much as we got on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Around 4" fell, maybe a bit more but probably melted when hitting the warm ground. Went out Wednesday morning mainly to see how many trees came down. Thankfully only a couple where I went had but a ton of branches etc coming down which will keep us busy the next few weeks. Out in the open the wind was pretty nasty but in the woods it wasn't too bad. Something about being outside experiencing weather when a storm like we had moves through.

This morning Jake and I went out before school again. Everything froze down solid and wherever there was coverage, it was really fun skiing. Full report on skinnyski. Last year was a good snow year but from Lotvola cup on, there wasn't a night below freezing as the snow melted away and we didn't have one day of crust cruising so today was a blast. Stayed cold enough all day that this afternoon was good again, mostly on Suicide hill. Sun coming out, 30 degrees, good as it gets.
Carlos has been a hoot to ski with. He was out there a couple hours and didn't seem tired at all. A few sketchy spots but if there is snow..

Looking forward to one more outing tomorrow!
