I had business related matters in the Wadena area on Monday so I went over to Black's Grove Park and hooked up with Maplelag rider Denny Barry. For two years I have been trying to get over there. Coming off of highway 10 you wouldn't expect a park like "Blacks". The things that stick out the most are the big old growth spruce trees, and the trails winding up and down along the river.

Click on the photo to read if interested. Nicely done Captain Black.

Denny riding the singletrack along the creek. Awesome stuff.
Caution bridge may be icy! Riding one of the bridges laden throughout the trail still snow/ice covered from last weeks storm.
Denny cleaning one of the quick ups. Great smells from the pines with the damp conditions.

Riding the rock garden. Nice job to Denny and the Wadena area crew for working hard to make this happen. If you have a chance, be sure to check out this sweet trail. Just west of Wadena where the two lane turns to four, take a turn up towards the track and follow road to red gate/Blacks sign.
