To be setting tracks early December has been awesome. The trails are in great shape for so early in the year and the woods have been solid white. Jack skied Rootin Tootin by himself Sunday and said the trees "looked like bones"Everything has been packed except for the east side of Bullhead lake. I debated 15 minutes last week whether to try and cross the north end but decided it is still early in the year and we need a couple more weeks of cold weather before I go scooting across ice and beaver channels that have water flowing below.

One of the neighbors to the north is a avid snowshoer and skier and has done a lot of work helping keep Roy's Run clear. Part of the trail goes on his land and nice he has similar interests vs wanting to rip around on a sno mo. Like I said before, the water this year has been like no other year and don't think it will be possible to get through here. The accessibility is about the worse possible so bringing in materials and spending the time to make it passable isn't really worth it when I can use some other trails and forest roads to complete the loop.

With the season set to crank up big time this coming weekend with the high school camps, we celebrated Jen's 8th birthday on Friday. Good times at the bowling alley and tossing down the za.

Jon had a game in Crosby on Saturday and Crookston on Sunday. The roads to Crosby were so thick with salt and sand it was crazy. Eventually all that makes it way to fields, streams and lakes and is not good.

Welcome home.
