Spring has been on the move the last week. But, unlike last year when it stayed warm continuous for a week and didn't freeze at night, we have been freezing down most nights keeping the snow melt steady and spring skiing going! And with a possible storm and colder temps later this week, the melt could be put on hold.
With no activities going on, the kids get a bit stir crazy. Keep them outside as much as possible.

Water on the lake first time this year end of the week. Froze down but we didn't get out to skate on it. Bit rough. Next freeze down should be good.
During the winter grooming new snow gets priority over plowing the snow on the driveway. All the 1 and 2 inch snowfalls we had this season just got car packed. This time of year it comes back to get you but so far only a few cars getting stuck.
Warm weather has brought out the deer ticks. Took one off Carlos the other day. Jonell made the $500 invested to keep the pets safe for the first cycle.
We have had some textbook spring skiing days. Still lots of snow in the woods, in particular on the north loup which should make it to mid April. Couple mornings solid like pavement, making for some fun riding on the trails. Not many mornings this is possible.

Digging out. It was the chain though Angel said.
Last plunge of the season for Angel. Going deep to fetch the chisels that had fallen in earlier in the year.
Success! Both Angel and John, our foreign staff workers, did a fantastic job this year. Not one complaint, good attitude and always willing to do what was needed to be done.
