This is turning in to the winter that never ends! All fine with me. Better snow than rain and when you dance and pray for snow, you take what you get and make the most of it. Quite a change from last year when the frost was just about out and we were biking singletrack. Nice spring storm this week dumping around 8" of snow after a inch or two of sleet had fallen. With a solid and firm base established before the sleet started pelting, I knew it would make for some interesting skiing. Jens was game to go so we went out with headlamps Tuesday night when the storm was just starting to crank up for a trip around skaters waltz and a couple trips up and down Suicide Hill.

Dad I can't see! The wind was whipping big time and the sleet hitting the face felt like getting blasted with those guns at the country fair that never shoot out the black star.
I can't ever recall skiing on the surface like we did. Super fun skiing and carving the pellets on Suicide was a blast.
The new snow groomed out pretty darn nice and skiing this morning was like mid winter but with the beautiful March sunshine. If we make it to April, and pretty sure we will, it will make seven months in a row on the calendar we have skied!

School was called off but the goat ranch road was plowed by 10 and all other roads were fine. Thought two hours late would of been adequate but I don't make that call. Thought for sure all good for Wednesday night church but pulled into the plowed parking lot and realizing it probably had been called but didn't think to look.

Instead of being in church thinking about the woods, back to the woods to think about God.
