Cuyuna-Duluth

 Last weekend I met up with Jake at Cuyuna for the xc mountain bike race which was part of the Cuyuna MTB Festival. First race of the year for both Jake and I. Jake is training for the ski season to come but up for a hard training ride. We raced most of the race together which was fun and I shot some video while I was behind him. The surface has changed since I rode there last year. A bit more bumpy and rough which was nice. Still super fast and flowy and made technical by the speeds attained and keeping upright through the twists and turns. Felt good to race again and see the familiar faces from over the years. Hope to hit up a few more races!

 Ready to roll with members of the Maplelag team. The team is the largest it has been and off to a great start. Most of the members are skiers so look out once the season hits full stride! Ha!

 Wednesday the whole family went over to Duluth to hook up with Jake for his 20th birthday. We went up to Gooseberry Falls, exploring the falls area than working our way down to the shore and exploring the rocks, cliffs and water. No one got wet or tumbled off a cliff, making for a great family day.
