With snow depth at Maplelag the deepest of the season end of February/early March, I decided to have a goal of skiing 30 days in a row. I was banking on the typical March storms and had hope to check out some other ski trails in the northwest with Kabekona Korner top of the list. For one of the weeks, I was fortunate to spend in Utah at JR Nationals. When we got home, there still was a good base but the temp would warm big time melting off the snow in record pace. From March 17th until the end of the month it got very interesting with skiing on the lake and timing of being near machine made snow to complete the goals. Plus a couple crazy days skiing on a non frozen surface. Short and sweet posts on twitter helped keep track of each day.

March 30 Dear Ande, thanks for hanging on to a nice swath of snow on the steep to complete under the moonlight.


March 29 Skied around entire REA slough with . What was most impressive was the ease of crossing beaver channels.

Mar 28 Out with the roller skis for the first time since last fall. Sprints with Jon and Jens.

Mar 26 Windy on top of the continental divide, snow was sketch but skied nicely. Vista was buena.


Mar 25 Great skiing at Afton Alps this am followed by a few hill repeats roadie style on entrance road.


Mar 24Foggy morning at Buck hill. One of the main runs almost fully covered. More parallel turns than tele


March 22 Skied with the geese, in the rain, last remaining snow at bottom of tubing hill Elm Creek Park Reserve.

March 21 There wasn't as much snow as i expected at Mt Itasca 2day but bottom line, there was snow and i skied.


March 20 Tele down skate up. Plenty of snow at Spirit Mountain for day 20.



March 19 Will always remember today's lake ski w Carlos and

March 17 Dbl poled round Little Sugabush w Carlos. On record pace but sidetracked by ice fisherpeople n golfers.


March 16th Rode fatbike out to Suicide hill than did 20 repeats with skate boards.


March 15th Interesting ski today but made it to half way point of Half of those have been with Jonell. All good.



March 14th Lunch date w Jonell on skaters waltz. Doesn't get any better. Day 14

March 3rd Got to the 11th hour but snuck in a hot lap on skaters waltz under the moonlight, in subzero temps, to make day 3 in


March 2nd Light snow, 22 degrees, snow on top of bomber tracks. Found best skiing on yesterdays pb groom job. Incred March ski.
