This is Jonell's brother Ryan and one of the caribous he shot in Newfoundland. I got the complete rundown on his 10 day trip when we stopped there to see their new baby girl. When I looked at the pics, it reminded me of eastern Norway. When I lived there I took some canoe trip and the terrain looks exactly the same. Anyways, Sunday we went down to St. Cloud and I dropped Jonell, Jack and Jon off and Jake, Jens and I went to Rebecca for the cross race. The race was fun. I didn't have any expecations as I have been lucky to get about 3-4 hours of training in per week. It was good to see fellow racers and just a drop dead gorgeous day. The thing with cross is that you have to get up to the front and get position right away, esp. at that course, otherwise it is tough to move up. I basically let the top 20 riders get position and wondered how it would of gone if I would of made more of a effort in the beginning. I felt good today so I rode tonight in the dark on the ski trails and it was fun. I nailed a rock big time and thought for sure I would flat. Projects are cranking up again. Bob is back and doing block on the east side of the candy store and Peter has started the chimney for the warming house. I am running in between hauling and moving and also got on the trail to mow a bit. When the weather is good you have to hit it hard because once it gets wet, you have to shut things down.
