Morning ski on Skaters Waltz. Great skating this morning. I could of gone all morning but had to get in and haul furniture and shovel and chop ice off of roofs like a demo derby groupy. This spring is going to be pretty sloppy with all the snow piled up. Today was wild with heavy snow, heavy rain, heavy snow, heavy rain then snow. The roads were nasty. Jonell, and both my mom and dad were on errands and what not and it was 25mph driving. I see now there is no travel advised in Becker County. Not likely school will be off but maybe late. We aren't out of the woods on winter though. Seems like par for the course is a batch of warm weather followed by some cold and snow. I bet we see some sub zero temps yet.
Jonell went to Fargo today and bought a cucko clock. Hmmm, it works. I hope I sleep at night.
Lotvola Cup this past weekend. Race went well. Lot of people asked if I had started riding yet. Nope. I can't picture myself riding thinking about the good skiing to be had. I did glance at some snow piles around DL the other day. When I was going to school in MHD I would spend hours on the snow piles that had a coating of sand and salt and in the mornings when it was frozen it would be like riding on slickrock. I would make this loop that was very technical and would keep riding it until I could clean it. We also used to ride down the banks of the Red River. I learned a lot of technical riding skills riding in MHD. Also learned how to hill climb. Riding in a 30 mph head wind at 3mph was just like climbing beartooth pass minus the elevation.
State Hockey this week. Going down for the Thurs night games to watch Roseau, GR, Tonka and HM. Too bad the nothern teams have to play each other. Love the fact that Roseau is in it and the town is probably the same size as Tonka enrollment. Taking all the boys and will hook up with Bruce. Should be fun.
