When I was young like Jack and Jon size/age, I used to wander around usually making my way to the water and would pull apart beaver dams. Great fun. We were out checking deer stands the other day and coming back on the Twin Lakes crossing, I noticed the end of the culvert was plugged up so I had to tear it apart. The sides of the culvert would have one thinking the water tables are low but the culvert has "lifted". Also used to trap beaver. One year I feel through the ice but it was okay since I hit ground and had waiters on but then I hit a beaver run and they filled up. I thought I was done for but swimmed my way back. It was stinking cold. Not as bad though as the time my dad took Lucky out to the Island for duck hunting and Lucky was jumping around in the boat when my dad was in the blind and the boat drifted out to the lake. Being on a island he had no choice but to swim to the boat. With ice on the edges, the water was plenty chilly.

A guest this past weekend was from Roseau so of course we were talking hockey and about the Warroad/Roseau series. He told me about the Roseau website. to find the full schedule. With games during the week, I am hoping to make a game this year. The I Falls game would be fun. Great rink, and could see the nephews and my sister. Also found the Minnesota hockey message board of the Roseau site. If you like hs hockey, check this out. Pretty active with tons and tons of posts.
