Last week, Jim McWethy, son of North Star ski club founder, was here and dropped off some old xc skiing books. Super fun to look at. All about classic of course. I can say I skied about 4 years in the 70's decade. Had the knickers, wool socks and beautiful Bonna wood skis with a nice blue paint scheme. The picture above had me rolling (click on it for a better view). Very 70's. First person I thought of though was Kyia Anderson (Malenkovich) Kyia is the only "girl" I know grooming and skiing, dialed into the waxing thing. Good stuff. Maplelag will be sponsoring Kyia again this year.

The Bonnas. See a lot of wood skis now with newer bindings. Should of had Jake ski on these. They are 180's. Negative temps ....woodies are the way to go for "keeping it real".

Jay, I actually own that skiing outfit in your first picture. If it's the Odlo Norwegian Ski Suit from the 1976 Olympics I have it!! I will be wearing it when I ski at Maplelag this season!!

Best-Kyia
