No one at the resort over the weekend before the camps crank up this week. Sister came down on Thursday night with her four boys and aunt and uncle from NYC here as well. Besides a few passing t showers, the weather was about as good as it gets, thankfully. Lots of time spent on the water and in the water. Plenty busy as you can imagine. Went swimming first time this year. Jens pushed me in. It was numb cold. I have never seen a paddle boat flip over until this past Friday night. No, it wasn't the yellow one with big Scott and four others. Race down to the beaver house and near the end, Scott jumped out and flipped over Jake, Marco, Jon and Jack. I was in the kayak....could not believe it. Some good laughs, no one hurt.
Yesterday afternoon all the moms and Grandma, two uncles in town so I was on kid patrol. Cranked up the old sauna that is on its last leg. Still can get it up to 190 and nothing like wood fired heat.
As far as jumping in the lake after a sauna, lake temp right now is perfect. Very refreshing.
Lars came over this afternoon for one last ride before
heading to Durango.
Fun fast ride. Post ride swim felt better than when Jens pushed me in. Will miss having Lars around.
