Bob, the guy that does major cat work on the ski trails at Maplelag, has been here the past few days. Bob said he is 40 hours away from 10,000 hours. Pretty good considering he shuts er down Dec-April. Has had the same Cat for about 10 years now. Every Fall since then he comes to do some work. One year he came in the morning grumbling about some oyster stew he had the night before, didn't sleep at all and wasn't feeling too good.

He probably would of been better off spending the day at home. Luckily a logger was in the area and helped pull him out, it wasn't pretty for a few hours but he got it out, no harm done and running same machine today.

Big time skid steer action this week. Final mowing and doing some dirt work as well. Found the first ice of the year in some low spots on the northern trails which I was a bit surprised to see. Great time to be scrubbing and what not in the woods with cooler temps.
Speaking of frozen thing, Mt Snow fired up their snow guns and have a terrain park open I guess. Never saw anything in SAM about the big dump of snow at Red Lodge. If it would of been CO or CA, different story. My dad talked to one of his buddies that lives out at Red Lodge and they are still working on the lifts so they couldn't open up.

Tomorrow is Jonell's birthday. I toasted her folders when we were doing server switch and she doesn't have many e-mails. If you get a chance and feel like dropping her a note; jonell@maplelag.com
