Pre Ride on Thursday, first people we bump in to are Michelle and Chris Peariso from WI. with Adventure 212. Always good to see folks from the Midwest. We saw Jack Hinkens go by when we first started but didn't see him again. He is starting right before Jake so look forward to watching him dice it up with the Nations best.

The course is pretty straight forward. After a small loop on the flats with a couple rock garden sections, the lap heads straight up a access road to the high point of the course. With no break in the climbing, it is all downhill after the high point.
At the high point we met up with TJ Woodruff and Chloe Forsman.
The descent ducks into the woods for some sweet switchbacking flowy descents. Nothing very technical with the trickiest parts are the corners that are loose. Jake and I both thought this was very similar to the new Cuyuna trail we rode back in June but quite a bit longer obviously. Best part of the course. Link
Near the end of the loop, at the bottom, is man made rock garden section. They were watering it down after we went through and not good as some riders came through and went down hard. The lap Jake will be racing is right around 4 miles with close to 900ft of climbing in each lap.
Cool down on the busy bike path that runs between all the towns and came upon the pump track in Ketchum. Rode around on it for a while. Fun stuff. Saturday night the state pump track champs are going on. Not sure the format.
