Laddies Loppet

Another great Laddies Loppet  in the books. From a logistical standpoint, it could of not of gone any better. My big things are no one gets seriously hurt, lost and the timing runs smoothly. Those key elements all went off without a hitch. Add a nice blend of warm summer weather Saturday, a evening shower to tack up the track and cool temps for cross country racing on Sunday, it was about as good as it gets. The only disappoint was the numbers were down a bit but could of been from the rain the night before, the people driving the day of bailed. Who knows. Also disappointing not more local riders, especially after the mountain bike coverage in the local paper creating a sense of more participation in the area. With that said, a huge thank you to all the riders who traveled from nearby and afar to take in the action. Much appreciated. Also big thanks to everyone who helped out to make it happen.

Three of the boys raced with Jake and Jon doing all three stages and Jon doing the tt. Caught Jon finishing up as Jens was staging and Jake watching on.

Good to have Jake back after he missed out last year. For not riding much the three weeks before, had a great weekend.

The Maplelag team had a great weekend,

moving to second overall in the team standings. Proud of and appreciative of everyone waving the flag.

Cross country is in full swing for Jack with three meets under the belt already. Having fun and running hard!
